Electrical Engineer

IntroductionRoyal IHC is merging four business units-Dredge Equipment, Sas-Hytop, Systems, and Services-into one equipment company (OEC). This integration aims to reduce indirect costs and create new opportunities for product development and customer access. Each unit brings unique strengths: SasHytop excels in hydraulic systems for dredging and offshore industries, Systems focuses on automation and digital solutions, Services develops innovative after-market approaches, and Dredge Equipment supplies hardware for sand transportation from sea to shore. The OEC is a main supplier to the shipbuilding division of Royal IHC and also serves clients externally. The merged company offers a diverse range of equipment and systems. Examples are dredge pumps, autonomous operation software, spare parts for installed systems, winches, hose reels, hydraulic power systems and vessel conversion services. Stand alone products and integrated systems. Our primary location is in Kinderdijk, employing approximately 350 individuals. The operations conducted in Kinderdijk encompass sales, project management, engineering, procurement, assembly, and services. In Belgium, we operate a steel and iron foundry. Additionally, we maintain sales and service centers in Houston, Dubai, Singapore, Bangladesh, and Tianjin. Lastly, we have a facility in Mumbai, India dedicated to the production of steel structures and local sales. The engineering team is the combination of the engineering teams of Services, Dredge Equipment and Sas-Hytop. In total we employ approximately 100 engineers of various disciplines. We employ for instance naval architects, mechanical engineers, system architects and lead engineers. The teams divide their time between working on projects and developing new products in close coordination with the product management function. The engineering team also functions as a breeding ground for new engineers to learn the trade of what we do after completing their studies and then grow further into different roles such as project management.Your ResponsibilitiesSetup design calculation such as short circuit calculation, heat dissipation calculation, load balance.Creating Single Line Diagrams, Cable Block Diagrams and Multiline Diagrams.(Basic and detail engineering) according the regulations and scope of work.Creating Cabinet layouts including BOM lists etc.Take care of the correct material selection and flow to work preparation and procurement.Creating documentation such as specifications or reports.Communicating with your team leader, team members, other internal departments, suppliers and join in client meetings to present and explain your part of the design scope.Resolves any (electrical) issues during the course of the project • Assist with the FAT.Local support with commissioning.Your ProfileTo be eligible for the position of Electrical Engineer, you must have the following:Experience with E-Plan 2024 (required).Bachelor or Master degree in Electrical Engineering (or any closely related engineering study).At least five (5) years of relevant work experience gained in a similar position in relevant industries.It is an advantage if you have experience with Siemens Drive Systems and PLC's, IEC Ex and EMC regulations.Analytical and problem-solving skills.A proactive, creative and well-organized nature of behaviour.Capable of taking a supervising role within your team (for checking any engineering output).Excellent in communication within an international organization (main language English, understanding and speaking Dutch is an advantage).European nationality is required in order to be considered for this position.What We OfferA competitive gross monthly salary, aligned with your experience and expertise, plus 8% holiday allowance (based on a full-time workweek)A good work-life balance with 40 days of leave per year (full-time), plus the option to buy or sell additional leaveVoluntary participation in the Social Fund, which reimburses healthcare and related costs not covered by your health insuranceDiscounts on supplementary health insurance via VGZUnlimited access to our on-site gym (in exchange for a sustainable employability day)€0.21 per kilometer travel allowanceA profit-sharing schemeSelection process: After your application, there will first be a short phone call with the Corporate Recruiter.
