Job Description SummaryThe Colibrium Additive CFO is a strategic finance leader responsible for driving financial and operational strategy, budgeting and forecasting, long-range planning, cost management, capital allocation, risk management, and deal review across the Colibrium Additive business. This role partners closely with the P&L leadership team to align financial strategy with business objectives, optimize capital allocation, and deliver actionable insights that enhance operational decision-making. The CFO is expected to champion the adoption of FLIGHT DECK, GE Aerospace's proprietary lean operating system, to streamline processes, create capacity for value-added activities, and foster a culture of continuous improvement. Reporting directly to the CFO for Propulsion & Additive Technologies and operationally to the Colibrium Additive CEO, this role is pivotal in driving financial rigor and supporting the business in achieving its strategic goals.While the preferred location for this role is Lichtenfels, Germany, we are open to considering a hybrid arrangement within Europe. However, the selected candidate must be fully committed to traveling to Lichtenfels frequently and as needed to fulfill the requirements of the role.Job DescriptionKey ResponsibilitiesFinancial and Operational StrategyDevelop and execute financial strategies that align with the business's operational and strategic objectives.Drive financial performance and operational excellence through effective planning and execution.Oversee the profit and loss (P&L) and balance sheet (B/S) for the Colibrium Additive business, ensuring accurate and comprehensive financial reporting.Budgeting and ForecastingLead the budgeting and forecasting processes to ensure alignment with business goals and financial targets.Provide actionable insights into forecasting and business performance to the Colibrium Additive CEO and leadership team.Long-Range PlanningDevelop and implement long-term financial plans to support sustainable growth and innovation.Collaborate with leadership to align financial planning with strategic priorities.Cost ManagementOversee cost control initiatives to optimize operational efficiency and profitability.Monitor and manage cost structures to ensure alignment with financial goals.Capital AllocationSupport capital allocation decisions to maximize return on investment and drive strategic growth.Develop financial models for current and next-generation programs to inform investment strategies.Risk Management and Deal ReviewLead risk assessment and mitigation strategies to safeguard the business's financial health.Oversee deal reviews, ensuring financial rigor and alignment with strategic objectives.Team DevelopmentDevelop, mentor, and manage a high-performing global finance team.Oversee staffing, succession planning, and professional growth for direct reports.Controllership and ComplianceMaintain the highest standards of controllership, compliance, and financial rigor across all processes.Collaborate closely with controllership and operational teams to ensure alignment and accountability.Process Optimization and FLIGHT DECK LeadershipLead initiatives to improve processes, reduce workload, and enhance efficiency through FLIGHT DECK, GE Aerospace's proprietary lean operating system.Drive a culture of daily management, continuous improvement, and standard work.Required QualificationsEducation: Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field.Financial Expertise: Extensive experience in financial planning & analysis, product line finance, operational finance, and accounting.Accounting Knowledge: Strong understanding of accounting principles.Risk Management: Expertise in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial and operational risks, including deal reviews.Leadership Skills: Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop a global organization, fostering collaboration and accountability.Communication Skills: Exceptional ability to articulate financial insights and strategies to diverse stakeholders.Preferred QualificationsAdvanced Degree: MBA, CPA, or equivalent in finance, accounting, or business.Industry Experience: Experience in aerospace, additive manufacturing, or industrial sectors.Lean Methodologies: Proficiency in lean methodologies and digital tools to drive process improvement and operational efficiency.Government Accounting: Knowledge of government funding processes and customer relationship management.Global Experience: Familiarity with working in a matrixed environment and leading through influence across global teams.While the preferred location for this role is Lichtenfels, Germany , we are open to considering a hybrid arrangement within Europe .
