As a subsidiary of Konica Minolta, Instrument Systems thereby benefits from a powerful and global network.We are looking for you supporting our international team in Munich asProject Manager Application Engineering (m/w/d)in the field of optical measurement technologyAufgabenManage technical projects focused on developing and testing customized customer solutions, gathering feedback for new products and supporting marketing activities through application notesDevelop a deep understanding of our customers' products (e.g., OLED displays, μLEDs, VCSELs/other laser sources), on-site measurement conditions and metrology requirements (environment, takt time, etc.), as well as our full Instrument Systems product portfolioPropose tailored metrology solutions—including customizations where required—based on customer needs from our product portfolioSupport sales projects by performing measurements on customer samples, analyzing results and preparing customer-facing reports and presentationsPrototype hardware and software solutions using internal and external SDKs (Python, MATLAB, C++, or C#)Lead initial troubleshooting efforts through failure analysis and data analysis (e.g., log files) in collaboration with the product development teamsCreate high-quality application notes and white papersSupport product introductions as a technical peer for customers and relay feedback from in-house or on-site demonstrations back to development teamsCollaborate with sales, key-account management, product management, product development and international support teams (e.g., in Korea, China and Vietnam)You are working on the cutting edge of new consumer electronics products e.g. mobile phones, AR/VR devices, and the development of principle technologies, such as OLED/LCD or other display technology, VCSEL and LIDAR. Your technical understanding and expertise in metrology, optics, automation and software, production technology, enable you to comprehend our customers' needs. The relationship with customers and partners is trustful and lasting, yet very dynamic.ProfilMaster's degree in engineering or natural sciences, ideally with practical experience in programming (C/C++/C# or Python) and data analysisDemonstrated track record in managing technical projectsProven experience working directly with customers in an industrial environment (e.g., Application Engineering, Sales, Service Engineering or similar)Professional background in photonics, radiometry or light measurement (e.g., spectroscopy, goniophotometry, calibration standards)Knowledge of automation and/or the semiconductor industry is an advantageStrong communication and intercultural skillsCapable of leading detailed technical discussions with international customersBased in Munich with willingness to travel approximately 10%Fluency in EnglishGerman skills are beneficialWir bieten JBTE_DE
