Your mission

We're looking for a seasoned accounting professional to join our finance team in Munich. This role will be the cornerstone of our accounting, tax, and compliance function, ensuring that our financial backbone is strong and scalable as we grow. While a large portion of operational work is outsourced, you will be the responsible in-house expert overseeing processes, coordinating with external partners, and laying the groundwork for future team growth.

YOUR ​TASKS
  • Own and oversee all accounting processes for our German GmbH (with support from external partners).
  • Work closely with the CFO, MD Germany, and controlling team to align on financial processes.
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, receipts, and payments (DATEV, Pleo, etc.).
  • Manage tax filings, registrations, and support in preparing annual financial statements.
  • Maintain master data and ensure compliance with local and international requirements.
  • Decide on, implement, and regularly review insurance coverage where applicable.
  • Play a key role in building out and maintaining our compliance system, feeding into ISO9001 and other relevant certifications.
  • Support audits and regulatory reviews, preparing the necessary content and documentation.
  • Coordinate with external consultants on public funding programs (e.g. Forschungszulage, GRW, KfW).
  • Start hands-on with operational tasks to understand our processes and later manage support from a junior or working student.


Your profile
  • Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in accounting and tax in a fast-paced environment, ideally in a start-up or scale-up.
  • Strong knowledge of German GAAP (HGB), tax law, and compliance frameworks.
  • Hands-on mindset: comfortable switching between operational tasks and process building.
  • Experience with ERP systems, DATEV, or similar finance tools.
  • Fluent in German and English. Swedish a plus.
