Group Packaging Expert Corrugated

Job description Purpose of the position

As Group Packaging Expert Corrugated, you will play a key role in shaping the future of corrugated packaging across the Intersnack Group. In this expert position, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of innovative, efficient, and sustainable packaging solutions – from concept through to industrial application – serving our diverse brands and markets across Europe and supporting global initiatives.
You will be part of our international team based in Düsseldorf, a strategic location at the heart of the Intersnack Group.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize corrugated packaging concepts with a focus on sustainability, cost-efficiency and quality

• Manage international packaging projects from initial idea to full-scale implementation

• Standarize and harmonize corrugated packaging portfolio across all markets and sites

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders including Sustainability, Procurement, Marketing, Quality, Engineering and local packaging experts

• Identify packaging risks, deliver expert assessments, and provide technical documentation and best practices

• Monitor industry trends and actively contribute to the packaging strategy and innovation

• Prepare management reports and drive continuous improvement in packaging standards across the Group

• As a Global expert in corrugated, you own the development of the category at Group level

Job requirements Job Requirements

• Several years of technical experience in corrugated packaging, ideally within the FMCG or food industry

• Experience managing international packaging projects and working in cross-functional environments

• Degree in Packaging Technology, Paper Engineering, or a comparable technical field are a plus

• Proactive mindset, strong communication skills, and a structured, solution-oriented approach

• Fluent in English; German language skills are a plus

• Willingness to travel internationally up to 50%
