Role Description

This is a full-time, office-based position at Detectamet, located near Mönchengladbach, Germany.

The Sales Administrator will play a key role in supporting the sales team by managing administrative tasks, maintaining client records, processing orders, and delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process sales orders accurately and in a timely manner
  • Maintain and update customer databases and CRM systems.
  • Assist with the preparation of sales quotes and proposals.
  • Respond to customer inquiries via email and phone.
  • Coordinate with internal departments (e.g., logistics, finance) to ensure order fulfilment.
  • Track inventory and monitor backorders or delays.
  • Provide general administrative support to the sales team.
  • Schedule meetings and appointments as required.
  • Assist in organising sales events or promotional activities.

Requirements

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Comfortable working with CRM systems (training provided)
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic understanding of sales principles is a plus.
  • Native level French or German skills preferrable. Professional working proficiency in English.
  • Must live within a commutable distance to Mönchengladbach, Germany
