Job Description

Key Responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership and senior-level expertise in SCADA and Operational Technology (OT) to support Operations & Maintenance, Engineering, Joint Ventures, M&A activities, and new asset development initiatives.
• Lead the European OT & SCADA Support Team, ensuring optimal resource planning, high-quality project execution, and consistent operational performance—particularly within offshore, remote, and other challenging environments.
• Assign work effectively, track delivery, and uphold strict standards of safety, regulatory compliance, and technical quality.
• Cultivate a high-performing team through structured training pathways, skills assessments, and ongoing development programs.
• Serve as a central coordination point between OT, IT, marine operations, asset operations, OEM partners, and grid operators to ensure aligned objectives and seamless communication.
• Present system performance insights, risk assessments, and enhancement opportunities to senior leadership in a clear and actionable manner.
• Ensure all activities comply with offshore energy regulations, grid requirements, and applicable environmental and industry standards.
• Oversee the deployment, configuration, and lifecycle support of OT infrastructure—including hardware, networks, and control systems—for N1 and DBU assets.
• Perform routine system diagnostics, investigate faults, resolve incidents, and maintain comprehensive documentation in accordance with OLA expectations.
• Manage the full OT software and technology landscape, ensuring current and future project needs are met through strategic planning and optimization.
• Maintain accurate and audit-ready system records, asset documentation, and lifecycle data.
• Contribute to global R&D and engineering forums to advance OT architecture, design principles, and construction methodologies.
• Enforce IT/OT security controls and ISMS policies across all operational environments, ensuring alignment with global cybersecurity frameworks.
• Act as the escalation lead for site-level OT issues, collaborating closely with international teams to drive timely resolution.
• Provide hands-on technical support during offshore operations, ensuring adherence to facility standards and industry best practices.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, ideally with a focus on Systems Engineering.
• At least five years of experience in the utility or energy sector.
• Experience with offshore wind turbine systems (e.g., Siemens Gamesa, Vestas, GE).
• Working knowledge of substations, protection relays, or high-voltage equipment.
• Familiarity with OT cybersecurity standards such as IEC 62443, NIST, or ISO 27001.
• Hands-on operational experience in Protection & Control and SCADA disciplines.
• Strong understanding of control systems architecture and systems integration.
• Solid knowledge of CIP compliance requirements and their relevance to IT, OT, SCADA, and P&C systems.
• Experience with network architecture, servers, switches, firewalls, and related configurations.
• Proficiency in requirements gathering and stakeholder engagement.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical groups.
• Ability and willingness to travel to sites (including offshore) and participate in the on-call rotation.
• Willingness to complete GWO certification.
