The Second Foundation Group is an international energy trading company with around 4000 employees based in Berlin and Mainz (Germany), Prague (Czech Republic), Zug (Switzerland), Charlotte (USA), and Tokyo (Japan). We specialize in the physical trading of electricity across 21 markets in Europe, North America, and Asia. 
 
We focus on integrating and optimally marketing renewable energies and battery energy storage systems (BESS) within the electricity market. Since 2023, the Second Foundation Group has been investing in its assets, particularly BESS. With a portfolio of 15 energy storage BESS projects with a capacity of over 500 MW, our next goal is to establish ourselves as a leading owner and operator of battery storage systems in Germany. Innovative and efficient storage solutions pave the way for deeper integration of renewable energy sources.

We are looking for a curious and motivated Working Student – Marketing (m/f/d) to join our team in Berlin and support our marketing activities in a dynamic, international environment.  

What you would work on? 

  • Support the development of our overall marketing strategy in Germany. 
  • Help create clear and compelling messaging for different market stakeholders. 
  • Develop marketing materials (presentations, brochures, online content, internal communications). 
  • Assisting in organizing marketing and partner outreach events (online and in-person). 
  • Conducting basic market and competitor research. 
  • Supporting the sales and marketing team in day-to-day activities and ongoing projects. 
  • Collaborating closely with colleagues across sales and marketing. 

What makes you a great candidate? 

  • Enrolled student (Bachelor's or Master's) in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Economics, or a related field. 
  • Strong interest in marketing, branding, and communication, ideally within a B2B or international environment. 
  • Experience in marketing strategy, content creation or event management is a strong plus. 
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills in English and German. 
  • Structured, reliable, and detail-oriented working style.
  • Hands-on mentality with a willingness to learn and take responsibility.
  • Confident handling of MS Office (especially PowerPoint and Excel); experience with marketing or design tools is an advantage.
