As we expand our operations, we are looking for a motivated
Intern
(all genders) in
Mergers & Acquisitions and Business Development
to join our dynamic team.

In a nutshell

Location:
Karlsruhe (100% on-site presence required)

Job Type:
Full-Time internship (40 hours / week)

Start Date:
January or April 2026

Duration:
Minimum 10 weeks (3–6 months)

Mode:
Available as a voluntary or mandatory internship

Responsibilities

  • Support the team in executing M&A transaction processes, including project valuation, due diligence, and contract negotiations.
  • Review and evaluate business models and conduct market/trend analyses.
  • Assist the team with commercial aspects of project development.
  • Contribute to the further development of strategic and methodological approaches to M&A and business development activities at ILOS.
  • Prepare materials for committees and management reports.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a degree program in business administration, industrial engineering, business informatics, or electrical engineering (from the 3rd semester onwards).
  • Interest in renewable energy and the energy industry in general.
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills, paired with the ability to quickly grasp complex issues.
  • Previous experience in business development, M&A, or the energy sector is an advantage.
  • Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken; additional European languages are a plus.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications, especially PowerPoint and Excel.
  • A structured and independent approach to work as well as strong teamwork skills.
  • Intrinsic motivation and a solid value compass: integrity, intellectual curiosity.
