The Purchasing department plays a key role between engineering, production and suppliers. With a strong focus on quality, cost and delivery performance, we ensure that projects run smoothly. To strengthen our team at the Duisburg site, we are looking for a Purchasing Specialist (f/m/x).

Job Description

• Procurement of mechanical components, assemblies, and production parts
• Selection, evaluation, and development of suppliers in cooperation with the engineering department
• Independent management of the entire purchasing process, from order processing and order confirmation to delivery date monitoring and invoice verification
• Maintenance of order and master data in SAP as well as negotiation of prices and conditions based on obtained quotations and defined guidelines
• Active communication with suppliers regarding deviations, complaints, and contractual matters
• Ensuring material availability and close coordination with production, engineering, quality assurance, and logistics

Qualifications

• Completed commercial or technical vocational training
• Professional experience in operational purchasing, ideally in a manufacturing environment
• Confident handling of ERP systems (SAP experience advantageous) and MS Office
• Technical understanding and interest in mechanical components and manufacturing processes
• Strong numerical and cost awareness combined with a structured and reliable working style
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills as well as a solution-oriented approach when dealing with internal and external partners
• Team spirit and initiative in a technically oriented environment
• Very good German skills and English skills for written communication and working with English-language systems are desirable
