The primary role of a Experienced Consultant Analytics is to support the delivery of strategic advice to senior client management through strong analytical and data expertise. You will deliver analytic modules with guidance from senior members of the team which involves various data gathering, data cleaning and analysis, modelling and interpretation of the results. You will work directly with clients in conducting advanced analyses across a multitude of data sources and will play a significant role in team problem solving and delivering insights from the analyses. 

Purpose and Scope:

The analytics practice is a key source of the strategic advice we provide to senior client management. As our clients' data is becoming increasingly big and complicated, the need for high quality statistical analysis is growing rapidly. OC&C is regularly tasked with problems where the answers are hidden in large, messy and complex data sets such as transaction data, customer-behaviour data and web data. The analytics practice works in teams alongside our strategy colleagues to unearth insights, identify recommendations and communicate them persuasively to our clients. Analytics is therefore an increasingly important part of what OC&C does and growing rapidly as a practice.



Key Responsibilities:

As part of the analytics team, you can expect to work both with other technical experts as well as with the strategy team. You will need to be interested in solving strategic problems for our clients, which means pragmatic solutions on strategy consulting timescales. Project lengths are 2-12 weeks, so you will encounter a great variety of problems in different sectors. You will be in a supportive environment, where everyone is pulling together to deliver a great answer in the most efficient way possible. You will rapidly develop your commercial skills and become expert in the deploying advanced analytics in a pragmatic way that is sensitive to the data challenges faced by most businesses today.



About The Candidate

We are looking for candidates with the highest level of analytical and communication skills who can demonstrate excellence in the following areas:

Previous experience 

Minimum of 3 years of work experience in analytics, ideally in industries relevant to OC&CUndergraduate or postgraduate Degree in Economics, Analytics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics or another quantitative field  Experience with data collection and preparation for modelling, including data extraction, cleaning, merging and profiling Strong background in statistical analysis and modelling with the ability to explain analytic processes in their area of expertise, including when and why they would favour specific approaches Familiarity with applying supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms to problems related to customer segmentation, behaviour prediction, response modelling, recommendations, optimisation and / or similar Programming experience with Python and/or R   Personal Characteristics
 A strong knowledge of global markets and a proven track record of developing successful relationships with clients and colleagues Collegial and collaborative working style; carries out fair share of work; consistently adds creative, insightful ideas; meets all deadlines; demonstrates ability to lead and motivate othersA straightforward, focused working attitudeHigh business ethics: honesty, respect for the individual and culturally unbiasedStrong analytical mindset, able to identify critical issues and prioritise effectivelyStrong written communication skills: Efficiently create clear and concise written and graphical work for use in team settings and present complicated findings to a non-technical audienceStrong oral communication skills: communicates effectively in a structured and concise manner; relates well to client and consulting team members  Language Requirements
