YOUR MISSION 

Your mission is to lead, grow, and empower the Integrity Line team. You will foster a culture of technical excellence, psychological safety, and rapid, data-informed iteration while ensuring its reliability and scalability.  
As an Engineering Manager, you will work closely with the Senior Engineering Manager of Whistleblowing to lead and build a team of talented engineers.  
You will take ownership of the team's technical roadmap, guiding the architectural evolution of the Integrity Line module's C#/.NET backend and Angular SPA to deliver exceptional value to our customers.

THE CHALLENGES YOU'LL TACKLE 

• Mastering Zero-knowledge Data Security: Our platform's architecture relies on sophisticated data isolation techniques at the application and database levels to serve multiple tenants securely. You will lead the team in designing, implementing, and optimizing our critical data security and access control models.
• Balancing Centralized Security with Decentralized Frontends: You will navigate the fascinating architectural challenge of integrating a highly decentralized Angular micro-frontend with a centralized backend security model, ensuring both team autonomy and unwavering data integrity.
• Pioneering AI in Compliance: Drive the evolution of our product by integrating machine learning models for tasks like anomaly detection and predictive risk analysis, shaping the future of compliance technology.   
• Scaling our GRC Platform: You will be responsible for the performance and scalability of the Integrity Line module as a critical part of our high-growth Compliance COCKPIT, ensuring our microservices architecture, containerized deployments, and cloud infrastructure can support an expanding global client base with enterprise-grade reliability.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING 

• Experience as an Engineering Manager, Tech Lead, or similar leadership role, guiding and supporting a cross-functional software engineering team.
• A strong technical background in building and scaling backend systems using C#, the.NET framework, a deep understanding of relational databases, with relevant experience in microservices architecture and RESTful APIs. Experience with application-level encryption and key management strategies are a plus.
• Experience leading teams working on modern frontend applications, ideally with Single-Page Application (SPA) frameworks. 
• Experience with modern DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS is our flavor).
• A commitment to operational excellence, understanding the team's throughput and stability; and measuring application metrics, is the norm for you. Experience with testing methodologies, monitoring, and observability.
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• A passion for people leadership, with a track record of coaching and mentoring engineers to help them achieve their career goals.
• A self-driven, problem-solving mindset. You are motivated by complex challenges; balancing business needs, technical requirements, and customer expectations is your drive.
• Familiarity with AI / LLM concepts and experience working with teams that integrate machine learning models into software products and in their daily work is a strong plus.
• You are a fluent English speaker. German is a nice-to-have.
• Be open-minded and hungry for knowledge and continuous improvement, but also you just love to have FUN.
