ABOUT FILICS

Filics' mission is to reinvent intralogistics by creating autonomous mobile robots that fundamentally change how material moves. Our double-runner system makes Filics the first and only AMR able to drive through load carriers such as Euro pallets, breaking forklift logic and setting a new standard for efficiency. Filics has proven its technology in the field. The next step is to bring our systems into real customer operations, scale deployments, and ensure smooth, reliable performance in every environment. Each Proof of Concept, installation, and commissioning on site is an opportunity to validate the technology, strengthen customer trust, and turn a first deployment into a long-term partnership.

The challenge is to bridge the gap between engineering and the customer environment. Our systems combine mechanics, electronics, and software, and each installation requires an understanding of how all these components interact in real-world conditions. Success depends on precision, adaptability, and excellent communication with customers and internal teams alike.

YOUR ROLE

As Field Application Engineer you are the technical face of Filics in the field. Your mission is to make every on-site project a success, from the first Proof of Concept to full commissioning. You install, configure, and validate our systems at customer sites and ensure they perform with reliability and quality.

You combine mechanical and electrical understanding with IT and software know-how. You diagnose and resolve issues on site or remotely, provide training to customer operators, and document results in a structured way. You are also the key link between customers and the Filics engineering team. You identify recurring issues, capture insights from the field, and contribute directly to improving product quality and scalability.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, solving complex problems, and interacting directly with customers in dynamic, real-world settings.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Automation, or a related technical field
  • 3–5 years of experience in system integration, customer service, or technical support
  • Solid mechanical and electrical understanding
  • Confident working with Ubuntu or Linux systems
  • Basic knowledge of networking (IP configuration, SSH, VPN, routing)
  • Experience with Docker is a plus
  • Hands-on mindset with strong problem-solving skills
  • Customer-focused with clear and structured communication
  • Fluent in English; German is a strong advantage
  • Willingness to travel up to 80–100%
  • Driver's license (Class B)
