Site Manager Wind Farm

Currently we're looking for a Site Manager for a Wind Farm Project in Germany.

General Requirements

  • Start: Feb/Mar2026
  • Duration: Mid 2027
  • Location: Lower Saxony or Saxony-Anhalt
  • Experience: Minimum 5 years in civil or industrial construction, preferably as Site Manager for wind farms.
  • Technical Expertise: Balance of Plant (BOP) works (civil foundations, roads, electrical infrastructure).
  • Added Value: Electrical engineering background.
  • Language: Fluent English (written and spoken).

Key Responsibilities

  1. Quality Assurance & Control (QA/QC)

  2. Continuous inspection of workmanship and materials for compliance with technical specs and German standards (DIN).

  3. Witness and document critical tests (e.g., concrete pours, cable testing, pre-commissioning).

  4. Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCR) to ensure defects are corrected and closed.

  5. Progress, Schedule & Cost Monitoring

  6. Daily and weekly tracking of construction progress.

  7. Identify schedule deviations and potential delays early.

  8. Verify contractor-reported progress for payment validation.

  9. Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Management

  10. Enforce HSE plans, RAMS, and German statutory requirements (BaustellV, workplace safety laws).

  11. Exercise Stop Work Authority for unsafe or non-compliant activities.
  12. Conduct safety audits, lead briefings, and participate in investigations.
  13. Ensure environmental compliance (waste management, spill prevention, soil/water protection).

  14. Act as Owner's on-site representative for safety culture.

  15. Site Coordination & Authorization Management

  16. Serve as the main interface between Owner, engineering team, and contractors.

  17. Verify compliance with all permits and authorizations.
  18. Organize coordination meetings and resolve site-level conflicts.

  19. Manage site access, logistics, and laydown areas.

  20. Documentation & Reporting

  21. Prepare detailed daily and weekly reports (progress, HSE, quality issues, forecasts).

  22. Collect and archive all project documentation (as-built drawings, test reports, certificates).
