Save Our Seeds is looking for a Campaign Coordinator
Save Our Seeds is a European initiative by the Foundation on Future Farming that campaigns for responsible regulation of genetic engineering in agriculture and food and promotes agroecological solutions.
We are looking for a versatile campaign coordinator who wants to support our work on GMO regulation and the emerging confluence of AI and synthetic biology at the German, European, and international level. In this role, you will support our small team with campaign coordination, communication, event organization, and general project administration.
Your responsibilities
- help conceive, design and implement advocacy campaigns
- research and draft public outreach documents, policy briefings, and strategic arguments
- represent the organisation in international working groups and conferences
- plan and co-organise webinars, workshops and public events
- support communication activities (website, press work, newsletter, social media)
- coordinate closely with partner NGOs
- support project, fundraising and office administration (approx. 20% of your time)
What you bring
- ability to adapt priorities in changing political environments while keeping track of long-term goals
- strong organisational skills and enjoyment in coordinating projects and people
- ability to work well in a very small team and handle periods of pressure
- willingness to travel internationally and take part in high-intensity conference environments
- good German and English skills (written and spoken); additional languages are an asset
- background knowledge in biology and¹ genetic engineering, ecology, environmental policy or related fields
- experience in one or more of the following is an advantage:
- communications (incl. press work or social media, online engagement)
- facilitation of meetings or workshops
- handling content management systems
