As part of a replacement, the Japanese watchmaking Manufacture
Grand Seiko
is seeking to appoint a
Marketing & Communication Manager
for the DACH region within its European organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Marketing Operations & Budget Management

  • Implement the operational marketing strategy for the assigned markets in alignment with guidelines from the European headquarters based in Paris and Japanese HQ.
  • Execute marketing initiatives across the wholesale network and manage the annual marketing budget, including planning, tracking, reporting, and expense validation.

Trade Marketing & Digital

  • In close collaboration with the Area Sales Manager, monitor and ensure consistent and high-quality brand visibility across physical and digital points of sale.
  • Plan and execute COOP activations and BtoC events with retail partners.
  • Manage the brand's social media presence and oversee updates and content management of the corporate websites.

Media & Communications

  • Develop and manage the annual media plan and 360° campaigns (print, digital, social media, and outdoor).
  • Build and maintain direct relationships with key media contacts and journalists; coordinate press shoots and exclusive media events.

PROFILE

  • Master's degree in Marketing and/or Communication (Business School, Master's level or equivalent).
  • Solid hands-on experience in marketing and communication, with strong involvement in the execution of 360° projects in a demanding, ideally international environment.
  • Strong interest in the luxury industry and product sensitivity, enabling you to understand and respect the codes of a brand with a strong identity. Previous experience in watchmaking or fine craftsmanship is a strong asset.
  • Comfortable working in a small, agile organization, able to manage multiple projects simultaneously and collaborate effectively with diverse, cross-functional teams.
  • Recognized for structured approach, reliability, organizational skills, agility, and ability to drive projects to tangible results.
  • Native German speaker, Fluent in English, French could be a plus
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

The position is based in Düsseldorf with occasional travel for point-of-sale visits, journalist meetings, and events.
