As a
Principal Mechanical Design Engineer
, you will lead the development of next-generation
Chassis Brake System Actuation and Caliper
solutions. You will shape the product's technical direction, ensure its competitiveness, and drive innovations that enhance vehicle safety, performance, and reliability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and independently develop the
    next-generation brake actuation and caliper systems
    .
  • Conduct
    technical trend and competitor analyses
    , patent reviews, and contribute to
    technology roadmap and product definition
    to ensure system competitiveness.
  • Design and review
    mechanical components
    of chassis brake systems, including system architecture, mechanical parts, and related test specifications.
  • Define and manage
    system requirements
    , ensuring alignment between design, functionality, and safety standards.
  • Develop
    technical solutions and system architectures
    , including defining functional modules, interfaces, boundary conditions, communication methods, and diagnostic requirements.
  • Perform
    system modeling, simulation, and analysis
    (FMEA, functional safety).
  • Define
    test scenarios and validation plans
    , including system function verification, subsystem integration, and system-level testing.
  • Support the entire
    product lifecycle
    —from concept and design validation (DV/PV) through mass production and after-sales technical support.

Your Profile

  • Education:
    Master's degree or higher in
    Mechanical Engineering
    ,
    Vehicle or Brake Engineering
    ,
    Automation
    , or related field.
  • Experience:
  • Proven expertise in
    actuation and caliper development
    , with deep understanding of mechanical principles, reliability, and braking performance.
  • Experience in
    at least two chassis brake mass production projects
    from concept (KO) to SOP.
  • Proficiency in
    3D CAD tools
    (e.g., UG/NX, CATIA, Pro/E).
  • Strong knowledge of
    system functionality, performance, calibration, and diagnostics
    for chassis braking, steering, or body stability systems.
  • Familiarity with
    functional safety standards (ISO 26262)
    and
    vehicle evaluation methodologies
    (e.g., FMEA, DRBFM).
  • Languages:
    Fluent in written and spoken
    English
    (German is a plus).
