  • For a long-term project with a German Client, we're looking for a creative Backend Developer with 4+ years experience in backend development, with a strong focus on Ruby On Rails. 
  • We are looking for an analytical, results-driven Back-end Developer who will work with team members to troubleshoot and improve current back-end applications and processes. The Back-end Developer will use his or her understanding of programming languages and tools to analyze current codes and industry developments, formulate more efficient processes, solve problems, and create a more seamless experience for users. You should have excellent communication, computer, and project management skills. 
  • To succeed as a Backend Developer, you should be focused on building a better, more efficient program and creating a better end-user experience. You should be knowledgeable, collaborative, and motivated.

Possible Job Tasks 

  • Experience real-life projects 
  • Web development projects, in which your knowledge will only expand 
  • Manage the entire life cycle of a project from the first design on a piece of paper to going live

Technical Skills

  • 4+ years of relevant experience in backend development, mainly using Ruby on Rails 
  • Experience with JavaScript 
  • Experience with Scrum 
  • In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, and deployment) 
  • Knowledge with SSO, Encryption of data, dataflow and workflow 
  • Knowledge using Jira, Confluence, Git
 

Qualifications & Personal Skills

  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills 
  • Team player 
  • Good organizational and time-management skills 
  • Great interpersonal and communication skills 
  • Good English skills, German-speaking is a plus, but not mandatory 
  • Minimum B.Sc./B.Eng. in Computer Science, Software Engineering or any similar relevant field
