Role Description
We are seeking a full-time Lead Technical Specialist in Basic Software to join our team in the Stuttgart Region. The role involves leading and overseeing the design, development, and implementation of basic software systems for automotive and non-automotive projects. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, contribute to architecture development, ensure compliance with functional safety standards, and mentor junior engineers. The position also includes troubleshooting, optimizing software performance, and supporting testing and validation processes on-site.
Qualifications
- Strong expertise in embedded systems development, real-time operating systems, and software architecture
- Practical experience with AUTOSAR, communication protocols (CAN, LIN, Ethernet), and diagnostic tools
- Proficiency in real-time programming languages such as C/C++
- Knowledge of functional safety standards such as ISO 26262 and the ability to drive safety-related software development processes
- Proven ability to lead team projects, provide technical guidance, and mentor other team members
- Excellent problem-solving skills, analytical thinking, and the ability to work in collaborative environments
- Fluent in English, with German proficiency considered a plus
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Experience in automotive or embedded systems development is highly advantageous
