BACKGROUND
IUCN is the world's oldest and largest global environmental network - a democratic membership union with more than 1,400 government and NGO member organizations, and almost 15,000 volunteer scientists in more than 160 countries. IUCN's work is supported by more than 1,000 professional staff in 45 offices and hundreds of partners in public, NGO and private sectors around the world. Its headquarters are based in Gland, Switzerland.
The IUCN European Regional Office (EURO) provides credible knowledge and valuable contribution to EU policymaking and action on biodiversity conservation, natural resource management and Nature-based Solutions. IUCN EURO actively engages with EU stakeholders to support transformative changes within key economic sectors that currently have major negative impacts on biodiversity. We champion the transition to sustainable food and agricultural systems that are nature-positive, providing policy recommendations on critical issues including soil health monitoring, regenerative agricultural practices, and sustainable land management strategies.
IUCN EURO is looking for a motivated and creative Communication intern to support our daily communication activities across the Regional Office, under the supervision of the Senior Communication Officer. In this role, you will contribute to the design and rollout of a communication campaign for the IUCN European Nature-based Solutions Hub, and create engaging content that highlights IUCN EURO's policy priorities and projects.
If you're interested in communications, European policy, and driving positive change for nature, this is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience at the heart of a leading global environmental organisation.
