The Role
As a Senior QA Engineer, you will take ownership of quality assurance and validation for advanced dental imaging software. Working closely with R&D, regulatory, and clinical teams, you will ensure the software meets the highest standards for reliability, accuracy, and regulatory compliance while mentoring junior engineers and improving QA processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead QA strategy for dental imaging software and related digital workflows
- Design, develop, and execute test plans for AI-driven imaging algorithms and software platforms
- Validate accuracy, reproducibility, and clinical reliability of imaging outputs
- Lead verification & validation (V&V) for new software releases and updates
- Prepare and maintain QA documentation for regulatory submissions and audits
- Mentor junior QA engineers and drive continuous improvement in QA practices
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance product quality and patient outcomes
Requirements
- Degree in Biomedical Engineering, Computer Science, Dentistry/Orthodontics Technology, or related field
- 5+ years' experience in QA or software validation within dental devices, imaging software, or regulated MedTech products
- Strong knowledge of ISO 13485, MDR, IEC 62304; FDA 21 CFR Part 11 is a plus
- Experience with AI-powered imaging software, dental imaging workflows, or clinical software validation
- Familiarity with software QA tools (Python, automated test frameworks) is advantageous
- Proven ability to lead QA initiatives and mentor junior staff
- Excellent documentation, audit, and regulatory submission skills
- Fluent in English; German highly desirable
- Must hold a valid EU/Germany work permit – visa sponsorship not available.
