Liaison Manager

• Coordinating and supporting the workflows of the research group, including
• Budgeting and supporting the acquisition of research funds
• Travel
• Personnel matters
• Writing tasks in German and English
• Supporting research activities
• Identifying and providing IT solutions for individuals, preparation of computer code in different languages (especially Matlab, python and R) for teaching and research purposes
• Supporting teaching activities
• Content conception and organization of scientific events
• Organizing visits and employment of incoming researchers
• Management of the teaching portfolio of members of AG Kokko

• Successfully completed scientific university studies in the field of biology, computer sciences, bioinformatics, (bio)physics, mathematics, or related fields
• Preferably a PhD in a STEM subject
• In-depth knowledge of life sciences to understand and communicate the needs and requirements
• Experience with UNIX/Linux and Windows operating systems and utilities, tools and applications used to deploy web servers and maintain software
• Knowledge and experience with programming languages such as Python, R and Matlab
• Very good command of both written and spoken English and German
• Ability to communicate complex issues effectively to people with diverse scientific and cultural backgrounds
• Service-oriented working attitude

The position is paid according to EG 13 TV-L (75%) and to be filled as soon as possible. The position is permanent .

It is possible to have two part-time employees.
