About the role:

We develop SAP Add-Ons that address real-world challenges in finance and operations — delivering solutions that are faster, smarter, and more sustainable.

As a Team Lead, you'll play a key role in delivering high-quality SAP solutions by combining technical leadership with people management. You'll guide development efforts in alignment with product goals, while also nurturing a high-performing engineering team.

This role blends hands-on software engineering with team leadership. You'll need strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills to succeed. You'll work closely with stakeholders and architecture teams to drive product success within SAP environments such as ABAP, RAP, and BTP.

• Build outstanding SAP Add-Ons: Take full ownership of developing and delivering Serrala's standard SAP Add-Ons using the ABAP and Fiori technology stack. You'll drive the entire product development lifecycle — from coding standards and quality KPIs to security, testing strategies, and release management.
• Design and guide: Shape the technical direction of your product area by setting architectural standards, reviewing solution designs, and guiding platform evolution. Your leadership ensures our solutions remain scalable, maintainable, and aligned with modern SAP best practices.
• Empower and develop your team: Invest in your team's growth through regular feedback, defined development paths, achievable goals, and supportive coaching. You'll foster a culture of accountability, curiosity, and continuous improvement.
• Communicate and collaborate: Collaborate with stakeholders to align on scope, priorities, and expectations. Keep the VP/Director of Engineering updated on progress, flag risks early, and drive alignment through clear, proactive communication.

• You have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
• You bring 6+ years of experience in SAP development (ABAP is a must; experience in RAP, BTP, or Fiori is a strong advantage).
• At least 2 years of experience in a team lead role, successfully guiding engineers and driving project delivery.
• A solid technical foundation with a willingness to stay hands-on when needed — you lead by example and prioritize team success.
• Strong communication skills and a structured, supportive leadership style.
• Fluency in English; German at B2 level is a big plus. If you're eager to improve your language skills, we're happy to support your growth.
