FIBA Europe e.V. is created under the General Statutes of Fédération Internationale de Basketball (FIBA). The members of FIBA Europe form the European Zone of FIBA.
FIBA Europe is organised as a registered non-profit Association under German law. The name of the Association is "FIBA Europe e. V." and is situated in Munich, Germany. FIBA Europe consists of 50 national member federations of FIBA assigned to it by FIBA.
Stellenbeschreibung
To support our Finance Department, FIBA Europe e.V. is looking for a part-time Finance Assistant (m/f/d) to join our international team in Munich.
Your Role
You will assist the Head of Finance in all day-to-day accounting and administrative matters, primarily within the association (FIBA Europe e.V.) but occasionally also for the company (FIBA Europe Properties GmbH). After an initial training period, you should be able to perform your tasks independently and flexibly.
Your Main Responsibilities
- Cash management, including posting and responsibility for the cash register
- Creation of individual Word/Excel lists and reports upon request
- Administrative support on an ad hoc basis
- Accounts payable management (invoices are uploaded automatically and can be booked via SAP)
- General ledger accounting and, to a lesser extent, accounts receivable
- Posting of electronic bank statements in SAP
- Execution of payments via SAP (bank portal interface)
- Written and verbal communication in English with European basketball clubs and national federations
- Verification, posting, and coding of staff travel expense claims
- Account clarification and reconciliation (creditors, debtors, and general ledger accounts)
- Monitoring of open items lists and payment transactions
- Preparatory work for monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Fixed assets and inventory accounting
Your Profile
- Completed commercial or accounting education or comparable qualification
- Experience in accounting or financial administration
- Good to very good English skills (other languages are an advantage but not required)
- Confident use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience with SAP Business One is desirable but not mandatory
- Structured, reliable, and independent working style
- Flexibility and a hands-on mentality in a small, international team
