The Team – your impact

As Team Lead (f/m/d) you are responsible for the development of strategies, the acquisition and delivery of large Data and Analytics programs in time, budget, and quality by leading and growing a team of data scientists and engineers.

Your Role – meaningful & rewarding​ 

• Lead a team of data scientists and data engineers with your vision for transformation and digitalization within the energy industry
• Coach and develop a team capable of responding to changing business needs and priorities, drive continuous improvement in performance and quality according to individual's level of competence
• Deliver key performance objectives and ensure high-performance across full project life cycle via effective resource planning and scheduling, as well as on-time, on-budget, within-scope and high-quality project execution
• Contribute hands-on in engagements and develop transformative and innovative data products with your deep experience in data science and data engineering
• Build and strengthen key stakeholder relationships, serve as the primary point of contact for business and technology partners from different E.ON countries, inspire them and identify impactful opportunities for data and analytics solutions
• Develop strategies to increase engagement opportunities
• Take ownership of the P&L of your unit and ensure utilization of your team
• Contribute towards employer branding by speaking at conferences, writing articles and being active on social media

Your Profile – authentic & open-minded 

• You have several years of professional work experience in data science, IT consulting or similar fields of business
• You have significant professional experience in a leading role within a global data department
• You have experience in disciplinary leadership of a team of a significant size
• You have extensive knowledge in the customer solutions business, especially in energy retail and commondity products
• You have a PhD degree in an interdisciplinary field between economics and AI or a related technical discipline and significant hands-on work experience
• You have a proven track record of pitching, selling and delivering innovative data projects
• You have professional experience in ML model training in Python and you have successfully contributed to open source and/or internal machine learing software
• You have professional experience in working with state-of-the-art cloud technologies on Azure
• You have professional knowledge about MLOps and best practice when it comes to software development, such as version control, CI/CD, monitoring, automation and testing (Azure DevOps is a plus)
• You have excellent leadership, communication, and presentation skills
• Fluent in English and German
