The Role

We're looking for a Senior Solutions Engineer who will take full ownership of customer projects from conception through deployment. You'll be the trusted technical partner for our clients, independently managing engagements while building cutting-edge AI-powered applications that deliver measurable business impact.

This role combines deep technical execution with client relationship management. You'll architect and build production-grade software solutions—from web applications and data platforms to intelligent systems that integrate proprietary Spryfox models, orchestrate agentic workflows, and leverage LLMs—while helping our clients unlock new possibilities and growing long-term partnerships. You'll be writing code, deploying to the cloud, and sitting with customers to understand their challenges and craft solutions that work.

What You'll Do

Customer Engagement & Project Leadership

• Translate complex business challenges into pragmatic AI solutions
• Build trusted relationships with clients and identify opportunities for account growth
• Present technical solutions and demonstrations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Occasional travel to client sites in Germany and potentially EU (as needed for project success)

Full-Stack AI Engineering & Deployment

• Design and build production-ready applications—from web platforms to intelligent systems that integrate AI models (including proprietary Spryfox models), orchestrate agentic pipelines, and implement RAG systems and multi-agent architectures
• Apply an AI-first mindset to software development, utilizing the latest AI tooling while maintaining code quality and security
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code that solves real business problems
• Deploy and operationalize applications in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and production-ready, then monitor, maintain, and optimize them

Innovation & Growth

• Stay current with the latest developments in AI/ML and identify opportunities to apply them
• Contribute to Spryfox's technical thought leadership through blog posts, conference talks, or technical presentations
• Share knowledge internally and externally: mentor colleagues and represent Spryfox in the AI community
• Help grow client accounts by delivering exceptional value and identifying expansion opportunities

What You Bring

• Education & experience: Master's degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of professional software development experience with demonstrable expertise in building and shipping production applications
• Strong software development background: Proficiency in Python and modern development practices. You write clean, tested code and understand software architecture principles
• Technical stack familiarity: Experience with modern Python frameworks (FastAPI, Flask, Django) and AI/LLM frameworks (LangChain, LangGraph, or similar). Comfortable with Docker, containerization, and cloud-native development
• DevOps expertise: You can deploy, monitor, and maintain applications in the cloud (at least one of AWS, Azure, or GCP) and understand infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, and production operations
• AI/ML application development: Hands-on experience building software applications that integrate AI/ML models. You know how to build agentic pipelines, implement RAG systems, and orchestrate complex AI workflows for production use cases
• AI-first development mindset: You actively leverage AI tools in your development workflow and think critically about how to integrate AI capabilities into software solutions
• Customer-facing experience: You've successfully managed client projects or worked directly with customers in a technical capacity
• Quality & security consciousness: You write secure code, consider edge cases, and build systems that can be trusted in production
• Autonomy & ownership: You can take a project from zero to production with minimal supervision
• Communication skills: You can explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences and collaborate effectively across teams
• Language proficiency: Fluent in English (German is a plus but not required)
