To help us build the foundation of our future fab in Dresden, we are looking for a highly motivated and passionate:

As a Global Semiconductor Materials Buyer (m/f/d), you will be instrumental in developing and managing strategic supplier relationships across a global base. Your expertise will ensure the cost-effective, resilient, and timely procurement of critical materials essential for our advanced semiconductor manufacturing operations. This role demands a sharp commercial acumen, a drive for total cost of ownership optimization, and a meticulous approach to monitoring supplier performance against stringent quality, delivery, risk, and continuity metrics within our highly regulated, high-volume environment. You will be a guardian of compliance, upholding internal policies, contractual obligations, and all applicable trade, ESG, and regulatory requirements.

Launch Your Global Expertise with a Unique Training Opportunity: A cornerstone of this role is a unique and intensive training opportunity in Taiwan, lasting at least 3 to 6 months, depending on your experience and background.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Supplier Partnership Management: Forge, nurture, and sustain long-term strategic partnerships with a global portfolio of suppliers. Your efforts will guarantee a reliable supply of high-quality materials and services, critical to our cutting-edge semiconductor manufacturing.

  2. Procurement Execution & Commercial Negotiation: Lead end-to-end procurement activities, encompassing sourcing, purchasing, and complex contract negotiations. Your goal will be to secure cost-effective materials and services while proactively mitigating delivery delays and managing supply risks with existing partners.

  3. Supplier Performance Excellence: Monitor, rigorously evaluate, and actively drive supplier performance against defined quality, delivery, cost, and risk metrics, ensuring unwavering compliance with both operational and contractual requirements.

  4. Strategic Sourcing & Risk Mitigation: Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies that align perfectly with our business objectives. Your work will focus on reducing total cost, significantly mitigating supply chain risks, and fortifying supply continuity and resilience.

  5. Cross-Functional & Headquarters Collaboration: Collaborate closely with fab users, engineering, operations, finance, and headquarters procurement teams. This ensures seamless alignment of procurement activities with production requirements, budgetary constraints, and global sourcing frameworks.

  6. Proactive Supply Chain Issue Resolution: Identify, thoroughly analyze, and effectively resolve supplier-related issues - including delivery disruptions, quality deviations, and performance gaps - by leveraging robust data analysis and driving decisive corrective and preventive actions.

  7. Compliance & Governance Leadership: Champion full adherence to company policies, contractual obligations, industry regulations, and ethical standards across all procurement activities and supplier engagements, ensuring integrity and transparency.

  8. Continuous Improvement & Process Optimization: Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aimed at streamlining procurement processes, enhancing efficiency, and supporting scalable, future-proof supply chain operations.

Job Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree or higher in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, IT, or a business-related field.

  2. Minimum of 3 years of progressive supply chain experience in an international industrial setting.

  3. Experience in the semiconductor or chemical/material field is a strong advantage.

  4. Supply Chain management-related certifications (e.g., APICS CPIM, APICS CSCP, ISM CPSM) a strong plus.
