About our client
Our client is a pan-European, first-time fund backed by institutional investors, targeting established, profitable companies across the continent that contribute to European resilience, including defence, cybersecurity, and critical infrastructure protection. The fund's mission is to invest strategically to strengthen regional security and advance technological sovereignty.

Based in Munich, the team is looking to hire two highly motivated Associates to join their growing investment team. This is a rare opportunity to join an ambitious new platform focused on sectors vital to Europe's future. As an Associate, you will play a key role in sourcing, executing, and managing investments, working directly with a team of experienced and well-respected Partners.

What the job involves

  • Investment Associates will play a critical role in the end-to-end investment process
  • You will work closely with senior team members and portfolio company management teams, supporting the firm's mission to create long-term value
  • Conduct financial modelling, valuation and returns analysis (DCF, LBO, precedent transactions, comparable)
  • Support due diligence processes, including commercial, financial, operational and legal workstreams
  • Prepare investment memoranda and materials for investment committee approval
  • Monitor the performance of portfolio companies through regular reporting and analysis
  • Collaborate with management teams on strategic initiatives, value creation plans and bolt-on acquisitions

Who we are looking for

  • First experience in investment banking and/or PE, ideally with an exposure/interest in cybersecurity, defence & infrastructure protection
  • Strong analytical, modelling and valuation skills
  • Excellent project management and communication skills
  • Self-starter with a collaborative mindset and high degree of integrity
