Director of Programs

We are seeking an experienced Director of Programs to lead our portfolio of advanced robotics initiatives in the defense sector. This role is pivotal in driving program excellence, ensuring strategic alignment across multidisciplinary teams, and delivering innovative, mission-critical solutions to our government and industry partners. The ideal candidate combines strong technical acumen with proven leadership in complex, high-stakes environments.  
 

Key Responsibilities 

• Serve as the primary liaison between key customers, prospective clients, and internal teams, ensuring alignment across technical, commercial, and strategic objectives.
• Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with senior stakeholders both inside the company and across industry partners.
• Oversee all aspects of program execution including budgeting, scope definition, prioritization, and delivery to ensure successful outcomes aligned with organizational goals.
• Act as the critical translation layer between customer and business development activities and the internal engineering organization, clearly conveying customer needs, priorities, and timelines into actionable product and roadmap plans.
• Manage expectations and communication across stakeholders to ensure clarity, transparency, and confidence in program progress and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to shape long-term strategy, balance competing priorities, and drive continuous improvement in program delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Provide leadership and direction to program managers and supporting staff, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and excellence.
  

• Progressive leadership experience in the defense, aerospace, or advanced technology sectors, with a proven track record of managing complex, multi-stakeholder programs.
  
• Deep understanding of defense industry dynamics, procurement processes, and customer engagement within governmental and industrial contexts.
  
• Fluency in both German and English (spoken and written) is essential.
  
• Demonstrated ability to influence at the executive level, shape long-term strategies, and make data-driven decisions in fast-moving, high-technology environments.
  
• Strong grasp of engineering and product development processes, ideally with exposure to robotics, autonomous systems, or related technologies.
  
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust and credibility with senior stakeholders across functions and organizations.
• Proven ability to manage budgets, timelines, and technical scope while maintaining focus on strategic priorities and customer satisfaction.
