We are looking for a Senior Environmental Test Engineer to help us ensure our laser communication hardware is ready for space. This role is about collaborative problem-solving and shared success.

About Us
Mynaric produces optical fiber for the skies and, as a pioneer in laser communications, enables extremely fast and secure wireless data transmission between satellites, drones and the ground. The products are used by well-known international technology companies to build global communication networks. The emerging Internet over the clouds will connect the previously disconnected 3 billion people, bring the Internet of Things to the remotest corners of the earth and make international communication more secure than ever.

Aufgaben
You will work closely with our team of experts to tackle complex technical challenges. Your role will be to strengthen our testing capabilities and processes through a hands-on, collaborative approach.

  • You will leadorparticipateinenvironmental test campaigns, with a focus on thermal andthermal-vacuum(TVAC), from planning and procedure development to data analysis and reportwriting.
  • You will design and build new test beds from the ground upand improve andmaintainexisting ones, working with the team to expandand keepour in-house capabilities.
  • You willwork with our Automation Test Engineers toautomate our test processes and data acquisition systems, with a strong focus on LabVIEW.
  • You will act as a technical mentorand coordinator, sharing your knowledge while actively learning from your colleagues'expertisein adjacent fields like mechanical or electronics testing.
  • You will help refine and document our test proceduresand make sure our requirementsare beingrigorously verified,to ensure our approach is as robust as our hardware.

Profil
We are looking for a strong collaborator with a solid technical foundation. We don't expect you to be an expert in everything; where you are not as seasoned, a demonstrated ability to rapidly learn and contribute to a team is what matters most.

  • A team-first approach: You prioritize collective success and enjoy mentoring as much as you dolearningfrom others.
  • A hands-on, creative problem-solving mindset and the tenacity to see a challenge through.
  • A university degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent professional experience.
  • Significant hands-on experience in environmental testing, especiallythermal andthermal-vacuumtesting.
  • Proven ability to developandoperatecomplextest beds and automated test setups.
  • Practicalexperience withusingLabVIEW for test automation and data acquisition.
  • Experience with data handling, analysis, and process development. Python skills are a plus.
  • A foundational knowledge of electronics for troubleshooting test setups ishighlybeneficial.
