The IT Solutions Architect (m/f/d) plays a proactive and strategic role in leading and supporting enterprise architecture activities that shape the development and management of a portfolio of application and infrastructure solutions for the production of high-tech components. The position focuses on designing and maintaining systems, including applications, processes, information, and technology, as well as shared infrastructure and application services that enable targeted business outcomes.

The responsibilities include translating business requirements into comprehensive technology architecture blueprints aligned with the company's strategic objectives, guiding development teams, overseeing the implementation of proposed solutions, and continuously researching emerging technologies to recommend improvements that ensure a future-ready IT landscape. 

Explore your tasks and responsibilities
  • Create architectural frameworks for solution development across products, services, projects, and systems, including modules, technologies, and processes.
  • Collaborate closely with the Product Owner office to ensure successful execution of plans throughout the project or product lifecycle.
  • Lead and guide global and regional IT teams within the Exentec functional area for development and integration projects.
  • Assess global and regional IT demands in partnership with Business Partner IT and Product Owners, prioritize requests for the Exentec domain, and support make-or-buy decisions.
  • Facilitate business discussions and define design principles to govern incoming demands, ensuring architectural alignment across stakeholder requirements.
Show your expertise
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in engineering and software architecture design.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in implementations within complex environments.
  • At least 5 years of experience in two or more IT solution development disciplines, such as technical or infrastructure architecture, network management, application development, middleware, database management, or cloud development.
  • Hands-on experience with standard IT architecture frameworks (e.g., ITIL) and SAP Modules MM, LE, and LO.
  • Fluency in both German and English.
