Are you passionate about ship design and retrofit projects?

Join our international team and take a key role in coordinating structural and system modifications for a major shipping retrofit project in Hamburg.


Your Mission

You will act as the liaison between the physical retrofit activities on-site in Hamburg and the design implementation team based in India. Supported by an Indian focal point located in Germany, you'll ensure seamless communication and technical alignment across borders.


Your Responsibilities

  • Coordinate updates of approx.
    650 datasets
    (drawings, spreadsheets, etc.)
  • Translate retrofit requirements into design modifications
  • Review and validate structural changes and system updates
  • Ensure compliance with
    classification society rules
    and
    statutory maritime regulations
  • Collaborate with other disciplines (e.g. piping, HVAC, electrical, propulsion)
  • Manage design reviews, approvals, and resolve technical queries


Your Profile

  • Strong understanding of
    ship structure design
    , analysis, and detailing
  • Experience across the
    full design lifecycle
    (concept to detailed design)
  • Familiarity with
    retrofit projects
    and their impact on existing systems
  • Ability to manage interfaces across engineering disciplines
  • Fluent in
    German and English
    (mandatory)
