Your Mission
Join Trench Group as Head of Enterprise Applications (m/f/d) and take responsibility for both the strategic direction and the hands-on management of our core business platforms – ERP, MES, CRM, and more. You'll work closely with the business to align applications with operational and strategic goals, manage a small international team, and actively contribute to daily operations. In this role, you'll balance strategic planning with practical execution – driving standardization, overseeing application lifecycles, and ensuring digital enablement through pragmatic, value-driven IT solutions.

Your Tasks:

• Strategic Alignment and Business Partnership: Serve as the strategic interface between IT and business functions to ensure enterprise applications support operational and strategic goals. Partner with business units to identify opportunities for process optimization and digital enablement.
• Leadership and Team Management: Lead a team of functional experts and business partners across ERP, MES, CRM, and other core platforms. Act as a key contributor in IT governance forums, supporting portfolio planning, budgeting, and vendor management.
• Application Strategy and Lifecycle Management: Drive standardization and harmonization of enterprise applications across all sites. Oversee lifecycle management of applications, including roadmap planning, upgrades, and decommissioning.
• Demand and Performance Management: Own the demand intake and prioritization process for application-related initiatives. Monitor performance and value realization of application investments, ensuring measurable business outcomes.
• Architecture and Integration Governance: Ensure effective governance of application architecture, data models, and integration standards in collaboration with enterprise architecture.

Requirements:

• Education: Master's degree in IT, engineering, or a related field
• Experience: Several years of experience managing enterprise applications (ERP, MES, CRM). Proven leadership of cross-functional and international teams
• Technical and Strategic Expertise: Strong understanding of application architecture, integration standards, and lifecycle management. Experience in IT governance, portfolio planning, and vendor management. Ability to align IT solutions with business strategy and drive process optimization
• Leadership and Communication: Excellent communication and leadership skills. Strategic, collaborative mindset with a focus on value creation
• Language: Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus
• Mobility: Willingness to travel internationally and work in intercultural teams
