Requirements for the profession of nursing in Germany
In order to work as a registered nurse in Germany, you must meet certain eligibility criteria. This includes a recognized nursing qualification from your home country, a certain language level and proof of practical experience in this area. Eligibility criteria:
1. Nursing qualification – General Nursing and Midwifery (G.N.M) / Bachelor of Nursing (B.Sc.) / Post Basic Nursing (PB. B.Sc.) / M.Sc. Nursing.
2. Language skills in German at least at B1 level. Although B2 is a must to become a registered nurse.
