The Nau Research Group at Constructor University invites applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher (m/f/d) to join our dynamic, international team starting on April 1, 2026.

Our research is positioned at the exciting interface of physical-organic and supramolecular chemistry. We develop innovative supramolecular assemblies for applications in sensing, catalysis, and biological systems.

Our project's span:

  • Synthesis and optical-spectroscopic characterization of novel organic-inorganic hybrids

  • Fluorescent dyes, chemosensors, and assays

  • Exploring supramolecular interactions in aqueous environments

  • Applications in drug delivery and catalysis using host-guest complexes

  • Membrane transport studies using artificial vesicles and live cells

Your profile

We are looking for a talented and creative researcher with the following qualifications: 

  • PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or related field

  • Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals

  • Expertise in organic chemistry or biochemistry, or mass spectrometry

  • Proficient in NMR, HPLC, UV-vis, fluorescence spectroscopy

  • Familiarity with supramolecular chemistry

  • Hands-on experience with cellular assays would be advantageous

  • Proficiency in written and spoken English

  • Strong organizational, problem-solving, and teamworking abilities; experience supervising students is an asset

  • Interest to contribute to teaching
