Job description

Macopharma, an innovative international leader in blood processing solutions present in 84 countries, is recruiting a motivated and rigorous Accountant to strengthen its finance team in Langen, Germany.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain both general and analytical accounting
  • Record and verify accounting transactions: purchases, sales, bank movements, and other business operations
  • Perform bank reconciliations and monitor accounts receivable and payable
  • Participate in the preparation of tax returns (VAT, corporate income tax, etc.)
  • Collaborate in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and coordinating with auditors for annual statement reviews
  • Track open items on client and supplier accounts
Profile
  • Degree or professional training in accounting
  • 2 to 5 years' experience in accounting, with accounts payable management
  • Proficiency in accounting software, ideally JD Edwards (JDE)
  • Strong Excel and digital financial system skills
  • Solid knowledge of German accounting rules and local tax regulations
  • Accuracy, organization, independence, and structure in handling tasks
  • Analytical skills for identifying links and consistencies in financial data
  • Good interpersonal skills and team spirit for cross-departmental collaboration
  • Professional fluency in German and English
  • Flexibility and willingness to learn as the position evolves, with respect for deadlines
