Candler Schiffahrt GmbH, based in Bremen, is an established shipowning and operating company with over 30 years of experience in tramp shipping. Founded in 1991, we currently manage four multipurpose vessels (MPP) of approx. 8,000 DWT under our own technical and commercial management, while also operating additional vessels on voyage and time charter worldwide.

In parallel, we are expanding our fleet with a series of four modern 12,000 DWT MPP vessels currently under construction in China, with deliveries scheduled for 2026. Our core competencies include technical management, chartering, and vessel operations.

To strengthen our team, we are looking to hire a
Team Assistant Purchasing & Logistics (m/f/d)
on a full-time basis, starting as soon as possible.

Your Responsibilities

  • Support the technical purchasing and related procurement logistics
  • Coordinate and organize vessel supplies and deliveries
  • Handle import and export shipments
  • Review, allocate, and approve invoices
  • Organize and coordinate business travel arrangements
  • Provide general administrative, organizational, and team support

Your Profile

  • Relevant education or equivalent practical experience
  • (Career starters and career changers are welcome)
  • Prior experience in shipping or maritime logistics is an advantage
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken; additional languages are a plus
  • Confident working with standard MS Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)
