Deine Mission

Als Chief Financial Officer (CFO) übernimmst Du die Gesamtverantwortung für die finanzielle Steuerung und strategische Weiterentwicklung der CODE. Du gestaltest gemeinsam mit dem Executive Team den nachhaltigen Wachstumspfad einer der innovativsten Hochschulen Europas – an der Schnittstelle von Bildung, Technologie und Entrepreneurship. Dein Ziel: die finanzielle Stabilität und Skalierbarkeit von CODE langfristig sichern und die Grundlage für zukünftiges Wachstum schaffen.

Deine Verantwortlichkeiten

• Finanzstrategie & Steuerung: Entwicklung und Umsetzung einer zukunftsorientierten Finanzstrategie im Einklang mit den Wachstumszielen der Hochschule

• Controlling & Reporting: Verantwortung für Budgetierung, Forecasting, Liquiditätsplanung und Reporting gegenüber Geschäftsführung, Gesellschaftern und Aufsichtsorganen

• Finanzierung & Investor Relations: Vorbereitung und Begleitung von Finanzierungsrunden sowie aktives Management der Beziehungen zu Banken, Investoren und Partnerinstitutionen

• Governance & Compliance: Weiterentwicklung der Finanzprozesse, Aufbau von Governance-Strukturen und Sicherstellung regulatorischer Konformität (inkl. IKS)

• Teamführung & Organisationsentwicklung: Führung und Weiterentwicklung des Finance-Teams sowie Förderung einer datengetriebenen, transparenten Unternehmenskultur

• Digitalisierung & Effizienz: Einführung moderner Finanztools und BI-Systeme zur Steigerung von Effizienz, Transparenz und Entscheidungsqualität

Dein Profil

• Nachgewiesene Erfahrung als CFO, VP Finance oder Head of Finance in einem Startup-, Scale-up- oder Tech-/Bildungsumfeld

• Praktische Erfahrung mit von Venture Capital (VC) finanzierten Startups in der Seed-Phase – entweder als VC / Investor oder als Mitgründer / Mitarbeiter eines von VC finanzierten Startups.

• Fundierte Kenntnisse in der HGB-Bilanzierung und ein sicheres Verständnis von Finanzberichterstattungsstandards

• Praktische Erfahrung mit Finanzierungsrunden, Investorenkommunikation, Bankverhandlungen und strukturierter Kapitalplanung

• Sicher im Umgang mit Budgetierung, Forecasting, Cash Management, KPI-Systemen und Business-Intelligence-Tools

• Vertraut mit modernen Finanzsystemen und Tool-Stacks (z. B. DATEV, Power BI / Looker, ERP-Systeme)

• Erfahrung im Aufbau von Governance-, Compliance- und internen Kontrollsystemen (IKS)

• Ausgeprägte analytische Fähigkeiten, strategische Umsetzungsstärke sowie eine hands-on Führungsmentalität

• Verhandlungssichere Deutsch- und Englischkenntnisse in Wort und Schrift

Your Mission

As Chief Financial Officer (CFO), you will lead CODE's financial strategy and drive its next stage of sustainable growth. You'll partner with the executive team to strengthen CODE's long-term financial foundation and shape the strategic direction of one of Europe's most forward-thinking universities.

Your Responsibilities

• Financial Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute a future-oriented financial strategy aligned with CODE's growth goals

• Controlling & Reporting: Own budgeting, forecasting, liquidity management, and financial reporting to management, shareholders, and oversight bodies

• Financing & Investor Relations: Prepare and manage financing rounds and maintain strong relationships with banks, investors, and partner institutions

• Governance & Compliance: Build and refine financial processes, governance structures, and compliance systems (including ICS)

• Team Leadership & Development: Lead and grow the finance team while fostering a transparent, data-driven culture

• Digitalization & Efficiency: Implement modern finance tools and BI systems to increase efficiency, transparency, and decision-making quality

Your Profile

• Proven experience as CFO, VP Finance, or Head of Finance in a startup, scale-up, or tech/education environment

• Hands-on experience with seed-stage Venture Capital (VC) funded startups. either as a VC / investor or as co-founder / employee of a VC funded startup

• Strong command of HGB accounting and financial reporting standards

• Hands-on experience in financing rounds, investor relations, bank negotiations, and capital planning

• Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, cash management, KPIs, and BI tools

• Familiar with modern finance tech stacks (e.g., DATEV, Power BI / Looker, ERP systems)

• Experience in building governance, compliance, and internal control systems (ICS)

• Exceptional analytical skills, strategic execution ability, and a hands-on leadership style

• Fluent in German and English, written and spoken
