The Company

We put cutting-edge research into practice. As a DESY spin-off in Hamburg, we develop high-end X-ray and electron cameras for science and industry worldwide. Our home is the innovative Start-Up Labs Bahrenfeld, located directly on the DESY research campus.

Your Responsibilities

  • Mechanics & Cooling:
    You will be responsible for the assembly and maintenance of our systems' mechanical modules and cooling components.
  • Electronics Assembly:
    You will assemble electronic modules and small devices according to technical drawings and work instructions.
  • Fine Assembly:
    You will perform precise bonding and adhesion work on microelectronic components.
  • Quality Assurance:
    You will conduct electrical and mechanical tests, document the results, and thereby ensure the quality of our products.
  • Repairs & Troubleshooting:
    You will analyze faults in defective devices and carry out the necessary repairs on electronic and mechanical components.

Your Profile

  • Experience:
    You ideally have professional experience in the assembly of fine mechanical or electronic systems. Experience with water/air cooling for electronic devices is a plus.
  • Skills:
    You have excellent fine motor skills, a highly precise and focused way of working, and a strong eye for detail.
  • Technical Aptitude:
    You bring a solution-oriented mindset and the technical skill to find and fix errors.
  • Commitment to Quality:
    You have high standards for the quality of your own work.
  • Team Spirit:
    You are reliable, a team player, and eager to learn new things.
  • Language:
    You have good German language skills to safely understand work instructions. English skills are an advantage.
