Our Mission

At Palo Alto Networks everything starts and ends with our mission:

Being the cybersecurity partner of choice, protecting our digital way of life.

Our vision is a world where each day is safer and more secure than the one before. We are a company built on the foundation of challenging and disrupting the way things are done, and we're looking for innovators who are as committed to shaping the future of cybersecurity as we are.

Who We Are

This role is remote, but distance is no barrier to impact. Our hybrid teams collaborate across geographies to solve big problems, stay close to our customers, and grow together. You will be part of a culture that values trust, accountability, and shared success where your work truly matters.

Job Description

We are seeking a Principal Technical Marketing Engineer in Device Security to play a pivotal role in delivering deep technical expertise and strategic insight to our partners, customers, and internal teams. In this role, you will work at the forefront of innovation, shaping the future of cybersecurity by bridging cutting-edge technology with real-world market needs.

You will collaborate closely with product teams to align product capabilities with market demand, while also developing and delivering advanced technical training for Systems Engineers and field teams. A proven self-starter, you thrive in dynamic environments, embrace ambiguity, and are energized by the opportunity to define and refine new products as they enter the market. You combine technical excellence with business acumen—translating customer challenges into product innovation and empowering teams to succeed through knowledge and enablement.

Your Impact

  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to develop competitive positioning strategies, articulate technical differentiators, and deliver compelling narratives for IoT and OT security solutions.

  • Lead on-site workshops and technical design sessions to guide enterprise customers through complex deployment architectures, accelerating implementation timelines and improving configuration best practices.

  • Proactively identify and resolve deployment challenges, collaborating cross-functionally with Product Management, Engineering, and Support to influence roadmap priorities and drive impactful feature enhancements.

  • Deliver high-touch post-sales engagement to drive product adoption, maximize customer satisfaction, and secure renewals—ensuring long-term customer success and advocacy.

  • Expand and manage customer soak sites to validate product robustness, accelerate product maturity, and increase coverage across strategic accounts and key industry segments.

  • Collect, analyze, and synthesize customer and field feedback to translate real-world insights into actionable recommendations—enhancing usability and reducing support tickets.

  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor and subject matter expert (SME), building strong relationships with customers, partners, and internal teams to support proofs of concept (PoCs), trials, and sales enablement initiatives.

  • Develop and deliver advanced technical training and enablement content for Systems Engineers, Channel Partners, and Field Teams to strengthen technical acumen and ensure market alignment.

  • Act as the voice of the customer (VoC) during product testing and evaluation, ensuring new features align with evolving market and security requirements across IoT, OT, and IIoT environments.

  • Conduct ongoing market and competitive analysis to monitor IoT threat trends, assess opportunity size, and provide data-driven insights that shape product strategy and innovation.

Qualifications

Qualifications & Experience
