The Opportunity

As a Senior Full Stack Engineer at Fit Analytics Innovation, you will play a defining role in shaping the future of sizing and matching technology. You won't just contribute to features — you'll architect systems that scale globally, power cross-industry integrations, and enable frictionless adoption through automation.

You will set technical direction across frontend and backend domains, mentor engineers, and drive adoption of AI-powered development practices (GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, etc.) to accelerate innovation. Your influence will extend beyond code into strategy, architecture, and culture, ensuring Fit Analytics leads the industry with solutions that are scalable, reliable, and future-proof.

Key Responsibilities

Architect Next-Generation Systems

• Lead the design of the industry's most advanced matching engine to minimize returns and maximize customer satisfaction.
• Drive the evolution of the Fit Finder product suite
• Architect automated solutions to increase product adoption and drive efficiency

AI-Accelerated Engineering Leadership

• Define and implement organizational best practices for leveraging AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Windsurf, etc.).
• Continuously optimize AI-assisted workflows for faster iteration at scale while maintaining quality, performance, and security.
• Serve as the thought leader on AI-driven software delivery, embedding it into the DNA of the engineering organization.

Operational & Product Excellence

• Oversee end-to-end reliability, monitoring, and testing frameworks to ensure global-scale stability.
• Champion automation in development, deployment, and integration processes to reduce friction for partners.
• Ensure all technical initiatives align with business outcomes: lower returns, higher satisfaction, and seamless integrations.

Cross-Functional & Strategic Impact

• Act as a key partner to product leadership and executives, influencing company-wide technology direction.
• Translate long-term business vision into concrete technical strategies and execution plans.
• Represent engineering in strategic planning sessions and external technology conversations.

Mentorship & Cultural Leadership

• Mentor senior engineers, setting the bar for technical excellence and long-term architectural thinking.
• Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and continuous learning.
• Lead by example in architectural reviews, technical talks, and cross-team collaboration.

Requirements and Qualifications

Experience

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience, with a proven track record of end-to-end ownership.
• Experience collaborating with executives to translate business objectives into actionable plans and tangible results.
• Broad experience gained across different companies and environments, with an educated preference for fast-paced startup environments.
• Demonstrated success driving initiatives in environments requiring adaptability, rapid iteration, and pragmatic problem solving.

Technical Mastery

• Expert-level skills in JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks (React required).
• Strong expertise in frontend architecture, responsive design, and performance optimization.
• Extensive experience with backend microservice architectures, cloud environments, and multi-datastore systems.
• Proficiency in DevOps practices (CI/CD, Google Cloud, Kubernetes, Terraform).
• Experience with Golang and Python is a strong plus.

AI Development Expertise

• Leverage curiosity and adaptability to integrate AI coding assistants (e.g., GitHub Copilot, Windsurf) into your workflow and inspire others to do the same.
• Lead the way in AI-assisted engineering by using these tools to accelerate iteration speed, raise code quality, and enhance maintainability—while helping define and evolve team-wide best practices for AI-driven development.

Location

• This role is preferably hybrid in Berlin, allowing for regular in-person collaboration, but remote within Germany is also possible.
