Senior Process Engineer

We're looking for an experienced
Process Engineer
to lead
Quality Assurance and Laboratory operations
at our Hettstedt site.

This is a
senior, hands-on leadership role
where you'll own product quality end-to-end, drive process improvements, and lead a laboratory team responsible for maintaining the highest standards across materials, safety, and compliance.

What you'll be responsible for

Quality Assurance & Laboratory Leadership

• Lead and develop the site's QA and laboratory functions
• Manage and mentor laboratory assistants
• Oversee quality control for incoming and outgoing materials
• Drive automation of QC systems to improve accuracy and efficiency
• Conduct quality inspections of finished products including
  black mass, copper, aluminum, and plastics

Process & Continuous Improvement

• Identify and sustainably resolve process disruptions
• Develop and optimise process recipes to improve finished product quality
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives across process engineering

Compliance & Specialist Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with occupational health & safety, environmental, and quality standards
• Act as the site's
  Radiation Protection Officer
• Support the implementation and maintenance of the Quality Management System

What we're looking for

Experience & Qualifications

• Degree in
  Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, Metallurgy
  , or similar
• Experience in
  waste management, recycling, or manufacturing environments
• Strong technical and chemical understanding with excellent analytical skills
• Knowledge of
  H&S, environmental regulations, emissions, waste legislation, and quality standards
• Experience using systems such as
  SAP
  and laboratory instrumentation
