Requirements:

  • Minimum
    6 years of professional experience
    in Indian cuisine
  • Ability to prepare
    authentic South Indian, North Indian, and Tandoori dishes
  • Must hold
    relevant culinary qualifications
  • Candidates should possess valid
    residence, education, experience, and birth certificates

Language Skills:

  • English
    – mandatory
  • German
    – an added advantage

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Chef at Pitstop, located in Germany. The Chef will oversee the day-to-day kitchen operations, prepare and present high-quality dishes, and manage food inventory to ensure consistency and quality. Responsibilities include creating diverse and innovative menus, supervising and training kitchen staff, maintaining hygiene and safety standards, and ensuring efficient kitchen workflows. The role also involves collaborating with the management team to ensure an excellent culinary experience for all customers.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in culinary techniques, recipe development, and meal preparation
  • Experience in kitchen management, staff supervision, and food inventory control
  • Knowledge of hygiene, food safety standards, and best practices in kitchen operations
  • Creative talent for developing innovative and diverse menus
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a team
  • Problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
  • Formal culinary training or a degree in Culinary Arts is a plus
  • Previous experience in a similar role or restaurant setting is highly desirable
