Project description

The aim of this project is to support the Tier-1 in development and maintenance of XIL User Suite and Hil sensor injection.

Injection engineering should be supported for:


• Radar


• Global navigation & satellite system


• Ultrasonic


• Driver Monitoring System


• Camera

The XIL framework is to support the testing of System Under Test (SUT). It integrates a range of components and tools to establish and operate a comprehensive simulation and testing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop system-level requirements and architecture for XiL injection toolchains and test environments
  • Define and maintain simulation configurations, middleware setups, and interface specifications
  • Coordinate integration of proprietary, in-house, and Tier-1 supplier components
  • Perform system-level bug analysis and resolution across domains (e.g., middleware, simulation, real-time platforms)
  • Support users onsite and remotely, including setup, troubleshooting, and adaptation of pre-integration systems
  • Maintain and configure reference and productive testbenches (SIL/HIL)
  • Conduct end-to-end error analysis using logs and reproduction on testbenches
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to plan iterations, track findings, and resolve system-level issues
  • Document system behavior, limitations, and known issues across work packages

Skills

Must have

  • Strong understanding of ADAS sensors, systems and XiL/SIL/HIL architectures
  • Experience with simulation tools (e.g., VTD, Aurelion, ASM), middleware (DDS, FEP3, ROS2), and real-time platforms (SCALEXIO, ControlDesk)
  • Proficiency in system modeling, interface design, and configuration management
  • Hands-on experience with debugging and troubleshooting in distributed simulation environments
  • Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated test environments
  • Fluency in English

Nice to have skills

  • Ability to work across multiple work packages with tailored responsibilities
  • German proficiency is highly desirable for documentation and support
  • ISTQB (tester) and IPMA (project management) certifications are recommended
  • IREB (requirements) certification is required
