Cloud Network Architect

This position is posted by Jobgether on behalf of a partner company. We are currently looking for a Cloud Network Architect (m/f/d) in Germany.

This role offers the opportunity to design and implement secure, high-performance network architectures across cloud environments. You will work closely with engineering and DevOps teams to deploy, monitor, and optimize network and security solutions that support critical business applications. The position involves end-to-end ownership of cloud network infrastructure, from architecture design and security assessments to automation with Terraform and operational support. You will participate in proof-of-concepts, presales engagements, and troubleshooting, contributing to a culture of innovation and excellence. This role is ideal for someone passionate about cloud networking, security, and automation, with the chance to influence network strategy across multiple platforms. Accountabilities:

• Design, implement, and maintain secure network architectures in Azure and GCP cloud environments.

• Develop and maintain Terraform templates and automation guidelines for CI/CD deployment of network and security features.

• Configure, deploy, and manage CheckPoint security solutions to protect cloud workloads.

• Perform security assessments, implement remediation strategies, and ensure compliance with frameworks like SOC 2, NIST, and ISO 27001.

• Establish network connectivity between on-premises and cloud systems, including VPN, ExpressRoute, and Interconnect solutions.

• Design secure transit paths between multiple cloud providers and maintain clear documentation of topologies and security implementations.

• Participate in PoCs, presales sessions, and troubleshooting, supporting colleagues and sharing expertise.

 
• Minimum 5 years of experience in network engineering and security.

• At least 3 years hands-on experience with Azure and/or GCP cloud platforms.

• Strong proficiency in Terraform for infrastructure automation.

• Experience with CheckPoint security products and deployments.

• Deep understanding of network protocols such as BGP and IPSEC.

• Proven experience designing secure, scalable network architectures.

• Business-fluent in German and English.

• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

 
• Certifications: Azure Security Engineer, GCP Cloud Security Engineer, CheckPoint CCSA/CCSE, Terraform Associate.

• Scripting skills: Python, PowerShell, Bash.

• Experience with SIEM tools, micro-segmentation, and zero-trust architectures.
