We're seeking an experienced IT Architect to join our team in Singapore. As a key technical leader, you will play a crucial role in driving the design and implementation of IT solutions that meet the evolving needs of our business. You will be responsible for identifying and evaluating new technologies, developing proofs-of-concept, and implementing IT architectural standards and guidelines for regional APAC applications and infrastructure.

Your Job:

• Provide technical leadership in the development and implementation of IT solutions, ensuring alignment with business requirements and IT architectural standards.
• Design and deliver proofs-of-concept, pilot solutions, and applications using globally available resources, with a focus on cloud services, such as Azure.
• Develop and maintain technical architectural documentation for regional APAC applications, including data warehouses and business intelligence systems, ensuring that all solutions are well-documented and meet IT architectural standards.
• Collaborate with the Infrastructure Services Team to plan the implementation of new applications and ensure seamless integration with our data warehouse and analytics platforms.
• Conduct technical investigations, including architectural reviews, feasibility studies, and impact assessments, to identify and resolve complex system problems, and provide recommendations for improvements to our data warehouse and business intelligence systems.
• Provide technical leadership in application development transformation projects and innovation initiatives, including the implementation of low-code platforms, such as Appian, to streamline business processes and improve efficiency.
• Manage vendor relationships and ensure that external providers of development services meet our technical and quality standards.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and trends, and provide recommendations for adopting new technologies and innovations, such as big data analytics, machine learning, and cloud-based services.

Your Profile:

• Tertiary qualifications or certifications in IT (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of senior technical IT experience as an Analyst Programmer, IT Architect, or Systems Analyst, or similar role.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in the Financial Services/Insurance sector.
• Experience working in or supporting Asian markets (Japan, China, Hong Kong) and proficiency in the relevant languages will be advantageous
• Experience with reinsurance, actuarial, and administration projects is highly regarded.
• Advanced understanding of databases, database design, data transformation, and data analytics, including data warehousing concepts and technologies.
• Experience with at least one of the following: Azure cloud services, big data technology, analytics tools.
• Experience with low-code platforms, such as Appian, and knowledge of business process management (BPM) principles and practices.
• Expertise in using Design Patterns to create Technical Architecture, and experience with Enterprise Architect and Team Foundation Server or similar IT tools.
• Familiarity with agile development methodologies and experience with DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of data governance and data quality principles, and experience with data warehousing and business intelligence systems.
