We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Lead Platform Engineer (f/m/x) to take ownership of our vital SWIFT Alliance Gateway (SAG) platform, ensuring its stability, security, and performance.

This is a unique opportunity to be the technical authority for a business-critical system, represent the bank in key industry forums, and shape the future of our payment processing capabilities.

Your key responsibilities

• Ownership of SWIFT Alliance Gateway (SAG), SWIFT Alliance Access (SAA) and SWIFTNet Link (SNL) platforms, ensuring maximum availability, performance, and security.

• System Integration: Design, implement, and manage integrations between the SWIFT platform and other internal processing systems, middleware, and applications.

• Oversee all aspects of the platform lifecycle, including capacity planning, version upgrades, patching, and disaster recovery planning and testing.

• Lead incident and problem management efforts, providing deep technical analysis to rapidly resolve complex issues across the application, database, and operating system layers.

• Represent Deutsche Bank in German and European technical forums and SWIFT advisory groups, contributing to industry standards and bringing back key insights to inform our strategy.

• Work closely with operations, infrastructure, network, and cybersecurity teams to ensure cohesive and secure end-to-end solutions.

Your skills and experiences

• Expert-level knowledge of Linux/UNIX  including system administration, performance tuning, and shell scripting.

• Strong proficiency with Oracle databases, including administration, SQL, performance analysis, and troubleshooting.

• Proven experience in a high-availability, 24/7 production environment where stability is paramount.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with full professional fluency in both German and English is essential for representing the bank in external forums.

• Experience with high-load systems and performance testing and tuning.

• Knowledge of messaging middleware (e.g., IBM MQ, Kafka) and network protocols (TCP/IP, SSL/TLS).

• Familiarity with modern monitoring and observability tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Splunk).

• Understanding of public key infrastructure (PKI), Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), and cryptographic principles.

• Experience working within containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) is a plus.

• Experience administering and supporting the SWIFT Alliance Gateway (SAG), SAA and SWIFTNet Link (SNL) platforms in a large-scale financial institution would be an asset.

Verantwortlichkeiten:

• Verantwortung für SWIFT Alliance Gateway (SAG)-, SWIFT Alliance Access (SAA)- und SWIFT Net Link (SNL)-Plattformen, um maximale Verfügbarkeit, Leistung und Sicherheit zu gewährleisten.

• Systemintegration: Entwurf, Implementierung und Management von Integration und Implementierung der SWIFT-Plattformen und anderen internen Verarbeitungssystemen, Middleware und Anwendungen.

• Überwachung aller Aspekte des Plattform-Lebenszyklus, einschließlich Kapazitätsplanung, Versions-Upgrades, Patching sowie Disaster Recovery-Planung und -Tests.

• Enge Zusammenarbeit mit Teams für Betrieb, Infrastruktur, Netzwerk und Cybersicherheit, sowie Gewährleistung von kohärenten und sicheren End-to-End-Lösungen.

Fähigkeiten & Erfahrungen:
