Lead / Senior Ruby on Rails Developer (Remote/Hybrid – Germany-wide)

Location: Remote or hybrid (within Germany)

We're working with a well-established, product-focused tech company headquartered in Cologne, known for their commitment to agile practices, technical excellence, and a collaborative engineering culture. They're now looking to expand their team with a skilled Lead or Senior Software Engineer with Ruby on Rails experience who's passionate about clean code, mentoring others, and building scalable systems.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Designing and building robust, scalable applications using Ruby on Rails
  • Leading and mentoring a team of developers
  • Championing best practices like test-driven development (TDD) and clean architecture
  • Collaborating cross-functionally with product and design teams
  • Driving continuous improvement in tools, processes, and engineering standards

What You'll Bring:

  • Solid professional experience with Ruby on Rails
  • Strong understanding and practice of TDD
  • Prior experience leading or mentoring engineers
  • Fluent English and German
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Docker, or Kubernetes
