IFF is growing and we are looking for a Key Account Manager Flavours (Germany) to join our IFF business. We're looking for an experienced candidate who has a proven industry record of accomplishment. Location for the role is Oberhausen in Germany, you can be either home-based or hybrid.
Where You'll Make a Difference:
· Develop technical solutions to customer-driven projects from bench-top to commercial scale levels.
· Identify and evaluate new market trends/opportunities and develop these opportunities into new business to grow the company's market share.
· Being First Choice - cultivate and develop relationships with targeted existing and potential customers to promote IFF as the preferred supplier.
· Work collaboratively in a matrix organization to ensure delivery of company sales targets.
· Develop long term sales plans for key customers and accounts, monitor and adapt sales activities that these objectives are met in accordance with IFF Flavour category strategies.
· Prepare sales forecast, monitor sales volume, revenue and resource spend against forecast to identify problem areas and create plans to regain market share.
· Actively promote the company profile at conferences, tradeshows and industry seminars to foster/maintain client relationships in order to ensure an increase in the awareness and corporate identity of the company as the leading supplier of food ingredients and solutions.
· Keep close contact to all internal stakeholders like e.g., Innovation, Creation & Design, Marketing and Business Units on relevant projects, pricing, market developments etc.
What Makes You the Right Fit
· Experience in food ingredients business with a strong knowledge on Flavors and Flavor sales.
· Degree in Economy, Business or Food Technology / Food Engineering preferred.
· Fluent German and English language skills, a 3rd language will be a benefit.
· Minimum 5 years of working experience within Food Ingredients & Flavors business.
· Located and experienced with the German Food/Flavor market would be of benefit.
· Demonstrated business and commercial acumen.
· Well-developed set of selling and account management skills, ability to adapt working style across the customer base.
· Well-developed negotiations skills.
· Proven project management skills where full ownership of driving new business opportunities is clearly demonstrated by coordinating all team members to achieve business objectives.
