Goethe-University of Frankfurt
(Germany). The contract is initially limited to 2 years with the possibility of an extension.

Activities And ResponsibilitiesYour Role

  • Planning, execution, and analysis of single-cell sequencing studies and multiomics screens of various inflammatory cell types in cardiovascular disease models with focus on epigenetic drivers of cardiovascular disease
  • Analysis of cellular heterogeneity in various tissues, focusing on inflammatory changes in cardiovascular diseases, particularly atherosclerosis, ischemic heart failure, heart failure with preserved ejection fraction, and clonal hematopoiesis.
  • Establishment and planning of sorting strategies for different cell types in heart, blood, and bone marrow.
  • Testing of new therapeutic approaches in experimental disease models.
  • Publication of scientific articles in peer-reviewed journals.
  • Participation in national and international conferences and collaboration in research networks.
  • Laboratory management and general organizational tasks

Qualification profile
General and Technical Requirements:

  • Completed university degree and doctorate in Biochemistry, Molecular, Cellular, or Medical Biology, or Medicine.
  • Excellent knowledge of physiology.
  • Organizational and team skills, flexibility, openness, and strong communication skills.
  • Solid bioinformatics knowledge and experience with single-cell sequencing analyses.
  • FELASA certificate.
  • In-depth knowledge of immunology combined with substantial practical experience in FACS, including data acquisition and analysis.
  • Organizational and team skills, flexibility, openness, and strong communication skills.
  • Very good English language skills.
